AS9100D, AS9110, and AS9120 Standards
AS9100 is the international standard for quality for the aviation, space, and defense supply chain. The current version is AS9100D:2016. It is prepared and revised by the International Aerospace Quality Group and is published by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
The new AS9100D includes all clauses of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems standard with additional requirements focusing on operational risk management, product safety, critical items, on-time delivery, counterfeit parts, and expanded requirements for production and oversight of external providers.
While AS9100 is primarily for manufacturers, the other aerospace standards in this family are AS9110 for maintenance companies, and AS9120 for distribution companies in the aerospace supply chain.
AC00-56 Voluntary Industry Distributor Accreditation Program. It is not managed by IAQG. it is a voluntary program. Certification Body can perform it during AS audit by adding additional audit days.
